My work begins with a joyful lightness of being. Enraptured by color, shape
and movement, my eye creates a playful dance integrating all three elements.
The mobile that emerges moves randomly with currents of air to a silent symphony.
This symphony is seen by the viewer’s eye as a balanced harmony that
compliments the exterior space of the building with the interior space of
the mobile itself.
With an appreciation that color, shape and movement must each maintain their
own integrity while at the same time blend effortlessly together, I shape
each piece and choose each color to achieve optimal union.
The mobiles are constructed from fireproof Varia thermoplastic. At all pivot
points stainless steel ball bearing swivels are used to allow three hundred
and sixty-degree rotation. This rotation enhances the mobile’s ability
to catch and reflect light thereby enhancing the total effect.
It is with childish wonder I create my pieces. As I played blissfully in
kindergarten delighting in the possibilities present in my crayons and blocks,
I find the same excitement surrounding me with each new design and fabrication.
My desire is to produce art that brings a smile to the face and a joy to
the spirit.
I have created projects and proposals in the range of $5,000 to
$200,000. Price is a function of complexity, materials and scale. I can work
in basically any scale and within any realistic budget.
